Sancho To Get Number 7 - Man United Possible Shirt Number Changes Revealed

Currently, jersey number 6,8,14, 21 and 31 are empty in Manchester United squad after the departure of Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani and Nemanja Matic.

More other players are also expected to follow the route and leave Old Trafford including Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Phil Jones, Eric Bailly, Axel Tuanzebe and Andreas Pereira.

If the above players leave, then there could be more empty jersey numbers and changed could take place for those who will remain. Let's see those who could change their numbers;

1. RAFAEL VARANE

Varane is currently wearing jersey number 19 which is not preferable to a center back. He could possibly shift to jersey number 4 if Phil Jones leaves the club.

2. JADON SANCHO

Sancho is another player who could change shirt number and wear 14 which has been left by Lingard instead of 25 that he was given after arrival at Old Trafford.

3. BRUNO FERNANDES

After the departure of Juan Mata, midfielder Bruno Fernandes could now get his dream shirt number 8 which he was also wearing at Sporting Lisbon.

4. ALEJANDRO GARNACHO

Garnacho is among Man United's young players who are tipped to receive first team promotion as from next season. If this happens, then he could possibly shift jersey number to either 14 or 21.

5. SCOTT MCTOMINAY

Scott McTominay is still wearing his 39 debut jersey. However, if Bruno Fernandes takes shirt number 8, then McTominay could also shift from 39 to 18. Jersey Number 6 can also be his dream.

6. VICTOR LINDELOF

Lindelof wears number 3 for Sweden national team and jersey 2 for Man United. If Bailly leaves, Lindelof is the favourite one to take the shirt number 3 at Man United.

7. HANNIBAL MEJBRI

There are possibilities that Hannibal Mejbri could be promoted to the first team next season. If this happens, then he could drop his jersey number 46 and take 21 which was left by Edinson Cavani.
