EXPOSED: WHY Thomas Tuchell Is The Cause Of Romelu Lukaku's Failure At Chelsea

Several reports have confirmed that Romelu Lukaku desperately wants to leave Chelsea Football Club after just a year at the London club

Returning to the Stamford Bridge after he failed to break into the team in his first spell, Chelsea had to break their record transfer fee for the Belgian.

He was supposed to be the final piece of the jigsaw in the special team Thomas Tuchel was building.

After hitting the ground running in his first matches for the blues, the striker gradually declined. Injuries and that 'unfortunate' interview with Sky Italia further complicated his situation at Chelsea and at the end of his first season, we can all agree that he has been an utter failure for Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel

In my opinion, the Bavarian is responsible for the mess Chelsea find themselves in regarding this Lukaku situation.

When he first arrived, the team had a young and promising striker in Tammy Abraham and also the experienced Olivier Giroud.

Maybe Tammy didn't completely fitted the pattern of play he uses, but Giroud was perfect for it. We could see how the French striker performed whenever he got a rare chance as the manager didn't even consider him a regular starter.

At the season of his first season, having won the Uefa Champions League, Thomas Tuchel had the unquestionable power to do and undo in the Chelsea team.

So what did he do? He deemed Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud surplus to requirements at the club and they left. Both of them went to Italy.

Meanwhile, he wanted to get Erling Haaland to lead his attack for the upcoming season. But after the negotiations to get the striker didn't materialise, the club offered to sign Romelu Lukaku and Tuchel didn't reject it.

As a matter of fact, he was contended with having the Belgian lead his attack seeing as he helped Inter Milan become champions of Italy a decade after they last held that title.

Tuchel failed to realise that Lukaku's style of play is completely opposite to the way his Chelsea team play, or perhaps he was hoping that the striker would adapt to his style.

But the whole thing has not worked and has been a total disappointment. I agree that both parties should go their separate ways if Chelsea want to be successful next season.

If that happens, it would mean Chelsea will take a massive loss on their £98m investment last summer.

To make the matter worse , Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud who were sent packing by Tuchel both had a phenomenal campaign last season, guiding their respective clubs to historic Cup wins.

So at the end of the day, Tuchel is responsible for this. If he had at least given Tammy the opportunity to improve under his guidance then he would be the enjoying what Jose Mourinho is enjoying from the striker at AS Roma.
