Lukaku Earns £325,000 weekly at Chelsea while Mendy, James and Mount Earn a combined fee of £198,000

Romelu Lukaku is arguably Chelsea's worst Player of the season for the 2021/22 Season. Some Chelsea Fans might want to argue that Saul Niguez is also up there with him but Saul Niguez wasn't signed for a club record fee of £97.5million, he wasn't signed for a fee that made him the second most expensive Player in English Premier League history, but Lukaku was.

Lukaku's arrival last summer was received with Fanfare and good feelings but as it turned out, he literally wished that he had not made that second coming to Stamford bridge. Being the most expensive Player in Chelsea history, it's not a surprise that he getting a weekly wage that Matches that profile.

The Belgium International is the most paid Player in the Chelsea squad as he's getting a weekly wage of £325,000 despite his abysmal performance last season, according to Sportrac.

Chelsea are looking to offload him this summer but his salary could be an issue. Whether the West London club are able to get rid of Lukaku in the summer or not, the Blues has a more pressing issue to deal with in their Squad.

At the moment, Edouard Mendy, Reece James and Mason Mount are earning a combined weekly wages of £198,000 which is around half of what Lukaku is getting.

Sportrac has it that Mason Mount is getting £88,000 every week at Chelsea, Reece James is getting £58,000 every week while Edouard Mendy is earning £52,000 every week. This trio made more individual impact than Lukaku last season but it doesn't reflect in their wages.

Real Madrid had Reece James on their radar last season, there was also reports that Mason Mount is attracting the interest of Chelsea's premier league top rivals.

Unless Chelsea offers the two of them a new contract that with increased their wages, the Blues could lose their priceless gems to other clubs that has a lot of cash to throw around.
