Chelsea Ready To Agree £165,000-A-Week Contract To Complete A Deal For 30-Year-Old Defender

Chelsea is reportedly ready to agree on a deal to secure the services of a 30-year-old Napoli defender in the summer, according to a report.

The 30-year-old has been surrounded with transfer speculation linking him with a move out of Napoli, with Chelsea being known to be a good admirer of the Napoli center-back.

The Thomas Tuchel's side will be in the market in search of a replacement to bolster their defense, as they are likely to lose four of their experienced defenders for free this summer.

Antonio Rudiger and Christensen have been confirmed to have made a move to the La Liga, joining Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively and in no time Caesar Azplicueta and Marcos Alonso are bound to follow their footsteps.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport., Chelsea has identified Koulibaly as a potential replacement and they are ready to pay the Senegal international £165,000-a-week wages to lure him away from Napoli this summer.

The contract offer will make the Senegalese ace earn around £8.5m annually once he joined the West London club.

However, Chelsea could face competition from Barcelona to sign the Napoli center-back, who was able to feature in 27 Serie games for the Naples last season.
