Chelsea are one of the most active clubs in the summer transfer market as the blues wants to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
A lot of players has left Chelsea this summer and more are likely to leave which means the blues needs to sign to replace the departing players. Antonio Rudiger has already left the club while Andreas Christensen, Ross Barkley and Danny Drinkwater has been released by the club.
Romelu Lukaku is another name on the news likely to leave Chelsea to rejoin inter Milan. According to recent reports, Chelsea will hold negotiations with Inter Milan for defender Denzel Dumfries next week amid talks over Romelu Lukaku.
Earlier reported, Chelsea tried to swap Romelu Lukaku for Dumfries but negotiations didn't go as planned and the blues has planned to make separate offer do Dumfries.
Dumfries and Lukaku swap deal is currently off the the table and potential transfers will be separate affairs according to Corriere Dello Sport.
According to Gazzetta, Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of the Dutch fullback who can easily play both on the left and right back wings.
Sport Mediaset say the same, reporting that among the Inter players being talked about by Chelsea, Dumfries stands ‘above all’. In fact, they say he has become Tuchel’s ‘obsession’.
Inter Milan valued Dumfries in the region of €40m and would only allow the player to leave at the right price.
Discussions are ongoing, but there is an insistence any deal will not be a part of the negotiations for Lukaku and will instead be a separate operation.
